Collection: MOVING WATER Collection
The work Moving Water has a contemporary take on what is currently happening in our world. The design is based on the chaotic nature of this world caused by man. It will be processed as a gigantic tapestry, which has a diameter of 3,5 metres. Artist ‘Gigi’ designed this work in January 2022, philosophising about our nature, the power of peace and time telling us not to waste time....
It was not to be, as less than a month later we woke up to a no-holds-barred war and world peace was over again. A disconcerting and poignant moment with a tearing feeling. Why after all?
The struggle for our climate, the struggle for equal rights, the struggle for women, the struggle for black and white, the struggle for the preservation of our animals, in short, the struggle for our planet earth. The many colours used in the image also refer to this chaos. It is a bitter struggle for all those who want to watch over our future. The work is above all a quest, and those who search well will find all sorts of things in it.
Political characters with the hat, owl eyes, suspicion, nature, water and clouds, a kind of diving animal-like figure that tries to breathe through a kind of snorkel. A paw with Help and so much more.
